About the Artist
Daniel Morales-Gómez paintings in oils and water media explore the seasonal shades of the Canadian landscape and vast geography. Reflecting his dual heritage, his still life captures the exuberance of colour reminiscing Latin American motifs. Portrait work is a selective focus of his attention. Recently, he is experimenting with abstract paintings which challenge the imagination of the viewer.
He is a juried member of the Kanata Civic Art Gallery. He has exhibited his work in a variety of settings across Canada including the Kanata Civic Art Gallery, the Kanata Ron Maslin Theatre Gallery, the Parkdale Gallery, the Gloucester Gallery and the former Old Town Hall Gallery of Fine Arts in Merrickville, and the Investors Group Regional Office in Kanata. Several of his paintings are in private collections in Canada and the U.S.A.
Daniel's interest in the arts has led him to explore other media including
leather and woodworking. His attraction to the visual arts complements
his literary interest in short story writing. His most recent book in
